Entry level power plant operations position. In a training capacity, and under supervision, perform assigned duties in connection with the operation and routine maintenance of turbines, boilers, generators, pollution control equipment, auxiliary equipment, HVAC, and other equipment/systems pertinent to plant/unit operations.

Include but not limited to:
• Employee will be knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures and practices
• Actively participate and successfully complete assigned training and development activities and requirements.
• In normal performance of duties, employee will watch for and promptly report to supervision any damaged or defective equipment or conditions which may cause damage or injury.
• Employee will perform duties of lower or higher classifications that are incidental to the job and are within their capabilities, including those needed for purpose of training in the requirements of the higher classification.
• Employee will keep all equipment, tools, materials, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Employee will perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
• Employee will represent the Company to the community with attention to the highest standards of conduct, appearance and attitude.
Education & Experience
Include but not limited to:
• Must meet all general qualifications of employment.
• Must be willing to work regular, irregular, or rotating shift schedules as assigned.
• Must be able and willing to comply with all safety rules.
• Must be able to safely perform physical requirements of the job.
• Must possess the willingness and ability to acquire necessary knowledge and skills to advance to higher classifications.
• Must have successfully completed all required testing and training programs promulgated by the company.
Special Qualifications
Must me recommended by the EEI Poss test.
Work Conditions
Industrial work environment including exposures to temperature extremes (hot, cold) associated with inspection and operation of power plant equipment and systems. Work includes heights (ladders, platforms, stairs, etc.) and proximity to high-voltages. Dust and debris associated with fossil fuels and fuel by-products. Respirator use required.
Physical Effort
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the ground to the height of 30 inches on a daily basis; Typical equipment/materials that must be lifted includes but is not limited to tools, materials, bags of oil dri, barrels of liquid; Able to climb up and down stairs and vertical ladders unassisted on a hourly basis
