Background Information

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) was established in 1971 in Boston, MA as an international non-profit organization working to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health. MSH’s vision is a world where everyone has the opportunity for a healthy life. In MSH’s FY 2013, MSH worked in more than 65 developing countries, with over 2,600 employees and had annual revenues of more than $318 million. More information about MHS can be found at our website: www.msh.org and our blog, http://www.msh.org/blog
In 2013, with the full support of the Board of Directors and the Leadership team, MSH launched a new five-year Strategic Roadmap (2013-2017) that included diversification of MSH’s revenues as a key goal for the organization. MSH aims to have 10% of overall program revenues come from non-US government funders by 2017, and has already made important progress in this direction. This position will support both maintaining and growing US government funding, as well as supporting diversification with non-US government public sector donors.
