CARE is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor (STA) for Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Health (SRMH), Evidence Translation & Communication, to serve as the primary person responsible for leading the development of evidence translation, communication and dissemination plans. These responsibilities include identifying key messages, audiences, formats, channels and venues for sharing, and developing manuscripts, reports, policy briefs, presentations, abstracts, blogs, and other communication products and approaches. The incumbent will also support project teams to implement their communication plans and guide, review, and support the development of knowledge products led by project teams.
The position is based in Atlanta, with the possibility of being located elsewhere, and will report to the Senior Director for Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Health. The incumbent will also coordinate closely with staff in the Program Partnerships and Learning Unit, in addition to the Advocacy and Communications & Marketing teams at CARE USA, as well as with SRMH focused staff in country offices, CARE International and external partners.
Responsibilities: • Guide the design of the global SRMH evidence translation and communication plans; • Lead the development and marketing of high-quality communication products for multiplying impact; • Provide supervision and oversight for knowledge management and learning staff and activities.
Qualifications: • Master’s Degree Required; • Five to seven years work experience in communications, public relations/marketing, journalism, international development, public health, policy/advocacy or related field; • Fluency in English required; • Fluency in French or other foreign language a plus.
