The Senior Technical Specialist reports to the Director, MLR, and will primarily be responsible for defining and leading the learning and research agenda in GAIN’s largest programming area, specifically Large Scale Food Fortification (LSFF).
As one of the senior members of the MLR team, s/he will support the overall strategic and operational direction of the MLR function as well as provide key technical inputs that will be framed around the person’s particular expertise and skills. Further, s/he will contribute to the broader portfolio of Monitoring, Learning and Research activities in GAIN’s program countries as well as at the global level, with particular emphasis in providing leadership for all efforts that include survey research.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent analytical and project management skills in addition to a strong publication record. They must have substantial experience in operations research, program management and evaluation, particularly with regards to nutrition and large scale food fortification. It is essential that the candidate has managed a portfolio of activities in multiple countries with experience of managing local issues in developing countries.
