Position Summary: **
MSI has an immediate opening for a Business Development Associate. This person will serve as a member of our proposal development team, responsible for tracking upcoming bids, co-leading proposal teams, drafting proposal sections and maintaining proposal resources.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate multiple proposal teams at one time, while monitoring bids in the capture phase, to ensure MSI submits high quality, competitive proposals.
- Review solicitation documents for proposal requirements and ensure compliance.
- Write corporate capability statements and tailor past performance references for proposals using MSI’s internal databases and interviewing subject matter experts.
- Coordinate planning and logistics for proposal teams, and organize and facilitate proposal meetings.
- Liaise with partners to execute teaming agreements and collect necessary proposal inputs.
- Monitor donor and government listings; help maintain MSI’s lead opportunity tracker.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in international studies, business management, public administration or equivalent field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitating meetings.
- Experience with writing and editing proposals, especially for USAID, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft software, including Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, and Adobe.
- Knowledge of a foreign language and previous international work and/or travel preferred.
