Primary Responsibilities


The U.S. Soccer Development Academy is a program that provides education, resources, and support to impact everyday club environments that will develop world-class players.


The Development Academy Intern responsibilities will include the following:


  • Assist the Development Academy Program with day-to-day program and league operations

  • Conduct research and contribute to reporting and maintenance of multiple databases

  • Create content and assist with Academy internal and external communication, including social media

  • Assist with Development Academy Scholarship Program and manage regular communication with scholarship players, coaches, and parents

  • Work on event operations staff for regional and national Academy events. Responsibilities include: on-site coordination of meals, set-up and breakdown of facility, preparation of game/referee materials, and on-field operations

  • Fulfill Federation-wide internship roles and assist leadership with special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and take a customer service approach and demeanor to fulfill program expectations

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Understanding of the U.S. Soccer Federation and the soccer landscape

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and database management technology; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and social media experience preferred

  • Event travel required

  • Perform other assignments as directed by U.S. Soccer personnel

  • Bilingual candidates are preferred (English and Spanish)
