Holding an national presence and with a turnover in excess of £50M, this innovative company is looking for a dynamic individual who will excel in the high-stakes, ultra-competitive Account Manager role.


The business owns its own assets and has a highly accredited Technical resource to ensure they can provide a full range of outsourced IT services.


The successful applicant will be based from Watford, with frequent visits to client site.

The position


The role of the Account Manager is both highly varied and demanding. You will be crucial to the continuing progression of the company. You will be the first point of contact for your clients and will work with a range of people both in and outside of the business.


The role of Account Manager will specifically require you to:
- Effectively manage your designated account base.
- Develop new business opportunities within your account base.
- Arrange and attend client meetings.
- Build and maintain a relationship with the client.
- Manage Virtual teams in the delivery of projects.
- Provide sales forecasts to the management team.
- Chair all relevant internal meetings.
- Responsible for the ongoing development of your account base.
- Manage and meet your monthly profit targets.


The person


The Account Manager role requires a steadfast approach to generating profit through a solid technical understanding of the company’s offering, as well as developing excellent client relationships. You must be adaptive, meticulous and determined.


A successful Account Manager will specifically meet the following key points:
- Experience of Account Management within the IT Services Sector, ideally selling Data centre solutions, Cloud Services, Support Services and Managed IT services.
- A solid understanding of the services sector and business development processes.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and organise teams and/or virtual teams.
- Educated to A-Level or higher with English being a key subject.
- Working knowledge of IT Software including Microsoft Office.


The package


The Business Development Manager position attracts a salary of £25,000 – £30,000 (dependent upon experience) plus an excellent commission structure.
