Job Summary: May be responsible for the managing of the Healthcare Services Manager (HSM), Hospice Director of Clinical Services (DCS), Home Health Director of Clinical Services, and BHS sales associates. Creates an exceptional Brookdale Healthcare Services customer experience ensuring quality patient care through timely scheduling and delivery, with prompt follow up of care needs. Maintains the objectives, goals, and philosophy of healthcare delivery in conjunction with the Brookdale Healthcare Services mission and cornerstones. Partners with the HSM, Hospice DCS, and/or the Home Health DCS to monitor efficiency levels within operations, assuring prudent financial resource utilization, and provides staff education and training. Ensures efficient and effective communication among all customers, community leadership, and interdisciplinary Brookdale Healthcare Services associates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leads the Brookdale Healthcare Services leadership team to ensure consistent service delivery of the Brookdale Healthcare Services continuum of highest quality care for the patient and family.
- Actively involved in the annual operating budget, including the monitoring of network census, payroll, staffing and capital forecasts in partnership with the District Director of Operations (DDO). Monitors and assesses compliance with financial forecasts, productivity and goal achievement. Assures that resident services reflect the highest quality in conformance with federal and state law and company standards.
- Evaluates, monitors, and enhances public relations efforts at each community.
- Is responsible for the preparation and completion of the survey process for state survey and licensing.
- Assures that all service lines conform to qualitative and quantitative operating standards.
- Directly supervises and evaluates performance of the BHS leadership team. Updates, trains, and coaches staff as necessary to maintain high standards of quality care, financial accountability and business growth.
- Serves as an educational resource to the community regarding healthcare services. Coordinates available resources for staff and families. Markets Brookdale Healthcare Services to any appropriate audience.
- Primarily responsible for the hiring and on-boarding process of the BHS leadership team and is actively involved in the interview process for field level clinicians.
- Participates in the continuous quality improvement program as required. Supports effective continuous quality improvement and Outcome Based Quality Improvement (OBQI) in specific networks.
- Monitors and directs effective utilization for Brookdale Healthcare Services documentation standards and expectations.
- Proficient in analyzing Key Performance Indicators and problem solving to ensure quality patient care and outcomes.
- Reports on trends and activities using defined reporting processes and assists with action plans to correct, improve, or advance the identified trends and activities.
- Works in conjunction with local Rehab Agency sites, Brookdale Home Health and Brookdale Hospice agencies to ensure appropriate utilization, regulatory compliance, and clinical outcomes for patients.

We seek the following principal qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, gerontology, business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years healthcare leadership experience required with two years of multi-site supervisory experience.
