Joining the Secret Service, Office of Investigations, Denver Field Office will allow you to use automated systems and other methods to research, review, analyze, document and report investigative and protective support information. You qualify for the GS-7 level (starting salary $42,468) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-6 level performing duties such as: retrieving and compiling investigative reports using a variety of law enforcement data systems to process and track evidence; and creating and maintaining investigative case files. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
