Position Duties:
·
Labor Relations responsibilities include administering Labor Relations functions for hourly employees at the facility including:
·
Maintain positive Union/Management relations
·
Coordinate and assist in UAW contract negotiations, implementation and ongoing administration of the Master and Local Collective Bargaining Agreements.
·
Responsible for all aspects of hourly employee administration.
·
Investigate and prepare responses to grievances
·
Responsible for the administration of Representative Compensation.
·
Support Personnel Relations activities as required.
·
Coordinate hourly recruiting and hiring as required.
·
Support all Health and Safety activities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
·
Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
·
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills
·
Successfully represent the Company while interfacing with government agencies and other external organizations
·
Demonstrated experience with delivering HR process improvement actions
·
Ability to guide and influence all levels
·
Demonstrated conflict management skills
·
Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
·
Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results
·
Available to work all shifts, overtime and weekends
·
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
·
Strong oral and written communication skill
·
Demonstrated ability to work as a team
Preferred Skills/Experience
:
·
Labor Relations experience preferred
·
Previous union contract negotiations experience preferred
·
Experience working with the UAW preferred.
