SUMMARY
The HR Assistant/Receptionist will provide administrative and technical human resources assistance for the human resources department as well as receiving callers/visitors at establishment determines nature of business and directs callers/visitors to destination
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following Other duties may be assigned
· Answers incoming telephone calls screens calls and refers to proper manager for handling Assists directly with routine inquiries
- Greets each person who enters the front entrance and directs them to their perspective requested locations using security procedures
- Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties
· Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications benefits claims processing and job openings in line with written company policy on these matters
· Schedules and administer candidate testing and participates in job fairs
· Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations Retains records in line with company record retention requirements
· Assists with Security Background procedures and keeps detailed records of each recruiting project
- Performs other tasks on an as needed basis
Minimum Job Requirements
Education/Experience
The knowledge skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of an associate’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job and twp years of relevant administrative or human resources work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualification Requirements
This position requires the ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work Personal computer skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint Excel Access and Word Employee must possess tact above average communication skills ability to work effectively with both employees and managers and the ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees Some travel may be required The employee must be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation The company will provide reasonable accommodation when necessary
