The Human Resources office at Penn State Behrend is seeking a Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will service the college as the contact for all background checks and online compliance training; process facilities reservations for University and non-University groups; general office support. Typically requires an Associate’s degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary. The successful candidate should demonstrate: the ability to work with various levels of the faculty, staff, and outside constituents; outstanding customer service orientation; excellent oral and written communications skills; organizational skills; and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from the date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
