SCHEDULE: FT 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY:
Obtains demographic, billing information. Contacts third party payers to obtain pre-certification when required. Escorts/transports patients to the assigned nurse unit. Strives toward customer satisfaction and meeting the needs of our patients. Informs patient of hospital payment requirements. Receives and records notification of patients being admitted from physician’s offices, emergency room and the recovery room. Provides coverage for other departmental duties as assigned which includes Bed Control, Discharge and any other duties specified by the supervisors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous business office experience preferred in a healthcare environment.
