United States of America: Data Coordinator - Teen Pregnancy Prevention


Reporting to the Project Director, the Data Coordinator is responsible for the documentation and monitoring of study data, including the collection, coordination, processing and quality control of data. The position will track training deliveries, referrals, and case management; and abstract and report data in a timely manner and according to protocol guidelines. The New Jersey-based, Center for Human Services (CHS) office operates under our US-based Health, Education, and Training Programs division. CHS began serving the people of Cumberland County, NJ in 1988 and continues to do so by working with communities to improve access to education, health, and social services for those most in need.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Serve as primary point-of-contact with Evaluator

  • Under the direction of the Evaluator, collect and enter data in the project database

  • Assist with drafting and planning of the data collection schedule

  • Coordinate with Youth Development Trainers to collect and abstract data from all pre- and post-tests

  • Coordinate with Youth Development Specialist to gather, abstract, and enter raw data from intake forms, recruitment logs, etc.

  • Coordinate with Project Director to capture/abstract network partner data

  • Monitor and maintain data to ensure information is available and ready for review

  • Under the direction of the Evaluator, ensure reliability of the data

  • Regularly update the Evaluator and Project Director by creating weekly/monthly reports

  • Gather, mine and manage electronic data as required for a variety of reports, including the development of spreadsheets and content for statistical reports

  • Resolve database queries in a timely manner

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree; College Junior or Senior with experience as an intern with a data collection organization or relevant coursework

  • One-year data report generation related experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for human subjects research preferred

  • Comfortable with and skilled in public speaking and writing

  • Attention to detail and must be highly organized with ability to multi-task

  • Respectful of all cultures.
