Library Associate (Medical Library) - Medicine - Florida State University - Tallahassee, FL

This position performs library functions including, but not limited to: routine cataloging, circulation, interlibrary loan, and basic reference. Performs a wide variety of technical duties and customer assistance in support of library services. Assists with provision of hiring, training, and oversight for OPS personnel and graduate assistants.

Provides statistical analysis of circulation and electronic resources usage data to assist in determining resource allocation and completing reporting activities. Participates in other service units and/or Library promotional activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


High school diploma/equivalency and two years of experience; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

Knowledge of library practices and procedures.

Experience performing accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

Strong writing and communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel or equivalent software.


Preferred


Four year degree or equivalent experience preferred.


Anticipated Salary Range


Anticipate hiring in the high $20,000’s to low $30,000’s, commensurate upon education, skills, and experience.


Criminal Background Check


This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.


Pay Plan


This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
