Under the guidance of Child Life and/or the Arts Program, the Child Life Assistant assists in creating a developmentally appropriate environment for children in the hospital ranging in age from infancy through adolescence. The Child Life Assistant is responsible for providing play experiences for patients, allowing opportunities for self-expression, mastery and control. The Child Life Assistant will also assist with special events and visitors, playroom programming and maintenance, distribution and maintenance of electronics (iPads, video games, etc.), and volunteer support.
