Duties:
This position is in the Medical Service at the Martinsburg VAMC.
- Positions requires individual to spend majority of time seeing patient consultations for gastroenterologic and liver diseases.
- Adherence to established Medical Center policies and procedures as well as VA Directives.
- Demonstrate leadership and accomplishment when providing support to Medical Service staff as well as staff within the VA organization.
- Implement and comply with administrative review of the service’s operations to assure compliance with all internal and external review requirements.
- Clinical management of patients to include, but not limited to, stabilization of acute complications and initiation of basic life support.
- Provide patient education primarily in an interactive setting which requires individual to have quality interpersonal skills.
- Accountable for all clinical duties and assignments per the Chief of Medicine’s direction.
