Position Summary : Performs a variety of clerical duties and processes and maintains departmental records.
Criteria:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma (GED) with at least one year of clerical experience or graduation from an accredited business school or college in office administration.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communications and customer service skills. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite software and the use of computer systems

None
Physical Demands:
The ability to use a computer keyboard effectively.
The ability to orally communicate by phone & person to person.
The ability to see and read printed material.
Work Environment:
Indoor office conditions. Location and work hours are determined by management and may be adjusted as needed.
Driving:
Must have and maintain a valid TN Class “D” license.
Telephone:
Must maintain an operating telephone and furnish the number to his/her supervisor.
Essential Functions:
- Provides a full range of reception services.Responds to requests for information from the public or employees by answering the phone, greeting the public, mailing program information, and making referrals.
- Picks up, receives, opens, dates, stamps, and delivers mail and/or other materials
- Prepares and distributes documents, reports (including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation documents) and mass mailings
- Processes inter-office and customer communications
- Organizes, files, retrieves and maintains filing system
- Maintains required records for workgroup in addition to supporting other internal workgroups
- Maintains and requisitions office supplies and materials
- Schedules or arranges activities/meetings/room set-up
- Makes and confirms travel arrangements
- Takes minutes, types and distributes
- Provides records/information to JEA employees and customers as needed
- Operates various office equipment including personal computer, copy machine, calculator, facsimile, scanner, etc
- Maintains office equipment and may assist with industrial equipment repairs
- Performs additional duties as requested
