Telecommunications Technician, Apprentice - Imperial Irrigation District - El Centro, CA

Under general supervision installs, configures, tests, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs microwave radio andfiber-optic networks for substation communications, and two-way radio, telephone, and video surveillance systems and associated equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school equivalency with supplemental college courses or technical training in communications electronics and one year of progressively skilled telecommunications experience preferred.

Licensing and Certification Requirements:

A valid driver’s license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.


A current DMV driving record must accompany job application.
