The Inventory/Requisition Clerk’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate the inventory process and work with our designated vendors to ensure purchasing of parts and plant items. Ensure the plant is running efficiently by maintaining proper inventory levels at all times.
Required Competencies:
- 2 plus years experience in processing of purchase orders
- Knowledge of cycle counting or reorder process
- Experience working in a Manufacturing or Warehouse environment
- Have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure departmental operational efficiency by managing inventory daily.
- Maintain the cycle counts system and maintain a minimal of 100% of completed cycle counts every month.
- Input orders into vendors to replenish raw materials when necessary
- Manage all open PO’s, ensure that PO’s are received and closed in a timely manner
- Manage the PO tracker database
- Assist in the identification of cost saving projects and ideas
- Assist the maintenance dept in the purchasing of parts and plant items
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree preferred
- 3 plus years of solid employment history
- 3 years of Inventory Control experience in a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment.
- Experience processing Purchase Orders is preferred
- Good Computer skills in Microsoft Suite products- word and excel
