Dust and damp mop resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, and other areas as assigned.
Collect and properly dispose of trash and soiled linen.
Mix and handle cleaning chemicals.
Strip and refinish floors, clean and shampoo carpets, and wash walls and blinds, as assigned.
Assist with maintaining the outside of the facility.
Interact with peers and residents in a courteous and professional manner.
To be successful in this position requires:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Good communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong customer service focus, with a kind and caring demeanor and ability to demonstrate compassion in a long-term care environment.
