DUTIES:
As a Laborer you will:


• Stack, sort, or arrange supplies and materials onto pallets;

• Open and unpack cardboard cartons and remove contents;

• Frequently lift and carry moderately heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds;

• Perform manual tasks that require very heavy physical effort, successive steps or processes, and the use of weight-handling devices such as electric hand-trucks or lifts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move very heavy loads;

• Load, unload, and move heavy boxes, bulky supplies and materials to and from trucks, loading platforms by hand or with the use of hand trucks and dollies; AND

• Pick up trash from grounds and working areas.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.


Physical Requirements: You will be required to handle up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier items with the assistance of material handling devices and other workers. Ability to squeeze and operate manual banding/strapping tool. Work is performed on a hard surface with constant kneeling, crouching, stooping, standing, and walking;

In addition, you must show in your resume and in your responses to the Online Questionnaire that you possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Applicants must meet the screen-out and obtain an average score of two (2) on all other elements in order to be considered minimally qualified for the position.


The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Category rating will be used to rank and select eligible candidates. If qualified, you will be assigned to one of three quality level categories, Superior, Good, or Satisfactory depending on your responses to the online questions, regarding your experience, education, and training related to this position. Your rating may be lowered if your responses to the online questions are not supported by the education and/or experience described in your application.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
