Maintain HIPAA compliance. Schedule patient appointments based on patient’s need and scheduling policies.
Answers telephone and gives information to callers; routes call to appropriate personnel and/or takes necessary messages.
Work closely with providers and staff to maintain needs of the patient while adhering to scheduling protocols.
Display sensitivity to patient needs.
Make confirmation calls for future appointments.
Able to handle a fast paced environment.
Provides excellent customer service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of progressive work experience in the secretarial field, preferably in the medical or dental setting.
- Proficient in Windows based computer program.
- Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
