The Minnesota Department of Human Services has a full-time opening for a Property Staff member to assist in processing client owned property at the MN Sex Offender Program (MSOP) in Moose Lake. Clients in the program have completed a prison sentence and been court-ordered to receive ongoing sex offender treatment in a secure facility.
The Property Staff is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and eligible for full benefits and insurance coverage. This position serves as a primary resource and information consultant regarding property issues, to provide current and accurate records for client owned property and assist the facility staff with all property related issues.
Main duties:
Process Client Property that is entering or leaving the facility
Create and maintain current, accurate and accessible client inventory records
Process client property as it relates to client moves
Operate, support and assist in Special Services as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
Customer Services skill sufficient to communicate with clients, co-workers, supervisors and outside entities such as visitors and vendors during times of stress and high volumes of work;
Data Entry skills sufficient to quickly and accurately create and maintain database records and supply/retrieve information in databases;
English Language skills sufficient to write, speak and/or read sufficient to compose correspondence with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation, and to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and the general public;
Math skills sufficient to add, subtract, divide, calculate averages and inventory levels;
Spreadsheets skills sufficient to sort/extract data;
Typing/Keyboarding skills sufficient to efficiently and accurately complete a variety of reports, letters and data summaries
