TELLER - ALABAMA - Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union - Atmore, AL

Role:
The primary function of this position is to assist Gulf Winds in achieving its strategic goals for branch operations, building member relationships, and providing exceptional member service. This position accurately assists members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. This position educates members on credit union products and services to enhance the member’s financial well-being.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Receives and processes customer financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and traveler’s checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.

Welcomes members and provides information and education concerning credit union services/products and directs member to appropriate department. .

Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.

Complies with all applicable regulations and policies, including BSA, OFAC and Physical Security.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.


Performance Measurements:

Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all customers and associates.

Balances daily, with no exceptions

3.

Meet TPH goals as established by management.

4.

Accurately post transactions, having less than 1 unresolved posting error in a 30 day period.

5.

Troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.

6.

Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the customer.

7.

Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.

8.

Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.

9.

Complies with all applicable rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to BSA, OFAC and Physical Security.


Knowledge and Skills:
Experience

The job can be learned in hours or days or weeks.


Education

A high school education or GED.


Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.


Other Skills

Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.

Normally expected to work between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., but may be required to work nights and/or weekends.

Must adhere to safety rules and regulations
