being responsible for supervising logistics-related issues in Action Against Hunger-USA managed field programs and providing the required support and follow up.


Key activities in your role will include:


  • Follows up and supervises logistics on selected Action Against Hunger-USA programs and evaluates the associated risks, from HQ (Head Quarter) and through field visits, in full compliance with Action Against Hunger standards and procedures.

  • Advises and supports the field logistics teams.

  • Contributes to Security Management on the field.

  • Ensures the technical management of the Logistics coordinators working overseas.

  • Ensures the briefing and debriefing of staff assigned to his/her field countries.

  • Participates in Logistics recruitment activities and training of staff.

  • Documents, develops and standardizes tools, procedures and ways of working in logistics and security.

  • Participates in the networking and development of Action Against Hunger USA’s visibility.

Does this description fit you?


You’re a seasoned logistics professional


  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science – related advanced degree preferred.

  • You have at least 3 years’ experience managing/coordinating logistics in field operations, also managing programs field logistics from a headquarters level.

  • You have experience and skill with budget preparation (the logistics portion) and the proven ability to translate technical financial data into informative reports.

  • You have knowledge of rules, regulations and donor policies governing the compliance / regulatory management of procurement rules from US Government (OFDA, USAID, BPRM), EU, ECHO, UN, and other agencies.

You enjoy the challenge of juggling multiple activities


  • You are highly organized and pay attention to small details. You take pride in planning not just the best case scenario but also for multiple contingencies.

  • You are extremely capable sharing your technical knowledge, as well as the organization’s policies & procedures – both verbally and in writing. (French speaking preferred).

  • You ensure your teams remain aware of changes in security conditions, challenges faced by the program implementers and any new contextual developments.
