Department Overview:
Pact exists to help create a world where those who are poor and marginalized exercise their voice, build their own solutions, and take ownership of their future. The Program Delivery Department, contributes to realizing this purpose by:

Position Purpose:
The position will support the East/West Africa, Latin America and Global Projects portfolio. S/he will learn Pact’s program and knowledge management systems and will interact daily with colleagues in country offices and DC-based departments. S/he will work closely with the Program Manager in a team approach and will be asked to perform discrete tasks. The Intern will report to the Program Manager with an end date of February 28, 2016.
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge Management:
• Posting key documents on the Intranet, including case studies, methodologies, policies, forms, etc.
• Maintaining the e-filing system of shared network drives, saving all relevant information to the designated location
Others as required, including:
• Providing operational and administrative support to projects as needed; coordinating timely and comprehensive responses to country teams’ requests and needs
• Assisting country office staff in the development of project reports, work plans, and other project contractual obligations, and ensure timely submission and quality of content
• Scheduling meetings and taking notes
• Ensure coordination of efforts at program level with all relevant stakeholders
• Coordinating administrative support from the Shared Services department
• Following up with relevant HQ departments on requests from country offices
• Pay invoices and prepare payment requests for Pact vendors and consultants as requested.
Basic Requirements
• Ability to establish and sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with Pact staff in overseas offices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel
• Excellent written and oral communications
• Strong and proven ability to build and develop internal and external relationships
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
• Solid knowledge of travel, international and domestic
Preferred Qualifications
• International experience
• Pursuing a Master’s degree in International Development, International Relations or related field
