Southwest Energy Solutions is accepting resume/applications for the position of Water Meter Reader Trainee in our Kingman, AZ location. The rate of pay for this position is $10.50 per hour.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Possession of a valid, up-to-date AZ drivers license

  • Maintain clean driving record – MVD record provided by employee

  • Available to work overtime

  • Ability to follow instructions

  • Neat and orderly work habits

  • Ability to work in harmony with others

  • Physically able to bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.

  • Effective verbal and written communications

  • Ability to walk up to several miles daily

Position Description:


Responsible for completing the daily district and service order reads in a timely manner. Must have an error ratio at the company standard or lower by the end of their probationary period. Must be able to maintain his/her daily assigned routes to ensure that reads are competed in an efficient and timely manner. Must maintain a clean driving record. Must be able to work independently and be a team player. Must be an effective communicator to internal and external customers. Must be able to communicate daily with dispatch. Must be an independent thinker that makes good decisions in a timely manner. Must be able to maintain their assigned meter reading equipment and immediately reports when assigned equipment is not working properly. Must enjoy working outdoors.

Position Related Responsibilities:


  • Self-starter that completes their assigned reads close to the forecasted projections and returns back to the office on time daily.

  • Have an error ratio at or below the company standard by the end of the probationary training period.

  • Maintain a clean driving record – MVD record provided by the employee. Reports immediately when they have been cited for a driving violation that will suspend their license.

  • Maintain a company vehicle

  • Maintain an attendance factor that does not exceed the company allowed called in sick days.

  • Effective communicator to internal and external customers

  • Must be able to make correct decisions in a timely manner.

  • Independent thinker who can see a problem before it occurs and come up with correct course of action. Make it to work on time daily.

  • Proficient with the handheld processor.

  • Effectively communicates daily concerns about problems or potential problems with the department to the Foreman and the Supervisor.

  • Proficient with completing the different required forms used daily for meter reading. (No access, Tags, Service Order Log, daily vehicle inspection form, etc…)

  • No reads are at the company standards by the end of the probationary period.

  • Working independently

  • Team player

  • Outdoor work – (Rain, Snow, Heat, etc….)
