Job Summary: Tohandle commercial and personal lines property casualty insurance claim mattersfor Risk Strategies clients
PrimaryResponsibilities and Duties: Theduties of the Claims Specialist include, but are not limited to;
Review circumstances surrounding claims along with appropriate coverage and verbally communicate preliminary coverage opinion to the client Acknowledge receipt of claim to client in writing and request all documents necessary in order to move forward and properly advocate on clients behalf Keep AMS claims file properly updated and attach documents in accordance with protocols created and set within the department Handle to conclusion insurance claims presented by RSC clients and/or as assigned by Claims Practice Leader. Duties include advocating for the client, maintaining an active diary, transmittal of documentation and follow-up correspondence to the client and carrier Assist client in assembling and submitting their claim to the carrier Attend client meetings, on-site loss inspections and board meetings when necessary Coordinate and mediate at builders meetings on problem claims
Fieldclient questions or concerns and act as mediator with the insurance carrierwhen necessary
Provideinformation/documentation to adjusters and other company personnel as requested
Provideinsured with interim status and final settlement information
Reviewlawsuits submitted by clients prior to filing with carriers
HandleAccount Executive inquiries and provide loss information when necessary
Conductand/or attend client claim reviews as requested by Producers and Account
Managers
Performother duties/projects as assigned by Claims Practice Leader from time to time
Requirements and Qualifications: 5+ yrs. Commercial property & casualty claims experience Valid P&C Brokers license preferred Possessexcellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonalcommunication skills
Agencymanagement system knowledge required, AMS 360/Work Smart preferred
Proficientcomputer skills, in particular Microsoft Office suite
Abilityto multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment
Possess the ability to provide superior customer service
Possess excellent client advocacy and negotiation skills
