Deputy Director, Product Marketing, UNICEF Kid Power


UNICEF Kid Power (Kid Power) is a program of USF and is made possible through the generous support of Presenting Sponsors Star Wars: Force for Change and Target, as well as local supporters, parents and fans. Kid Power aims to inspire a new generation of active and healthy global citizens, and consists of a tech-enabled school program for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classrooms, and a retail product and App for families that is defining a new Wearable-for-Good® category.


Reporting to the Managing Director, UNICEF Ventures, the Deputy Director, Product Marketing will be a key member of the Kid Power Product Team responsible for developing and executing our go-to-market strategy and leading the digital demand generation channels that drive qualified leads to Kid Power. As a customer acquisition expert and driving force of our lead generation machine, you will have the opportunity to build our digital marketing strategies, but must also see them through to execution and analysis. Working in close collaboration with USF’s Digital Marketing Team, the Deputy Director will ensure strategic coordination of broader paid media strategy and help bolster UNICEF’s relevance in the U.S.


The Kid Power program is being developed as an internal startup, with ambitious goals for growth, clearly defined performance targets for team members, and an agile and iterative approach to execution. We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can thrive in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to change, and be able to work independently on a day to day basis.


Employment for this position is dependent upon the continued success of the Kid Power program.


Key Responsibilities/Outcomes (include but are not limited to):



  • Create and execute paid organic digital strategies using web and social content and email marketing to drive prospects through the funnel to conversion; design and structure campaigns to maximize ROI and revenue




  • Manage monthly/weekly/daily forecasting and reporting of our digital marketing channels including: spend, ROI, conversion rates, and other performance KPIs




  • Manage paid digital marketing budget and campaign pacing to forecast accurate pipeline KPIs; work with cross functional teams (product and design) to drive landing page and campaign optimization




  • Oversee the work of the Community Manager and work closely with the Product Manager to measure and optimize direct response social campaigns, email marketing, paid search, display and video advertising




  • Manage paid search and social media budget ensuring online ad messaging and performance aligns with campaign/business goals; continually test and optimize to improve campaign performance while driving efficiencies




  • Track metrics and analytics and strategize tactics to increase interest and demand. Produce regular reports and share insights regarding performance




  • Review new technologies to keep Kip Power at the forefront of developments in digital marketing – industry trends, all things social – tools, applications, channels, design and strategy – evolving best practices, competitor activities, 3rd party tools and technology, and customer engagement insights



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years of relevant digital/online marketing experience with significant experience growing digital-first products, apps and/or games, including managing social media engagement, mobile advertising, and email marketing




  • Demonstrated experience using digital campaigns to increase product awareness, drive site traffic and generate qualified leads through owned campaigns across the digital channel




  • Expert knowledge of online advertising including audience segmentation and look-alike strategies, message targeting, auction dynamics, social media pricing, multi-variate testing and dynamic message optimization




  • Track record of success managing a variety of organic and paid tactics across platforms including, but not limited to, Google, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram




  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools, e.g. Hubspot, Pardot, Marketo, Swrve




  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment; work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality deliverables




  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively and deliver results in a fast-paced environment




  • Self-starter, highly motivated and results-oriented




  • Availability for occasional domestic travel
