Duties:
The VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS), Seattle, WA is recruiting for the Director of Compensation & Pension.  The incumbent is responsible for the oversight of the American Lake and Seattle outpatient Compensation & Pension clinics, as well as the clinicians consulting at the Seattle VA Regional Office and the SeaTac VA Regional Office (DRAS Regional Processing Center).  The incumbent supervises VISN 20 programs housed at VA Puget Sound, including the Compensation & Pension Telemental Health Program and the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Hub.Duties include developing, directing and evaluating a robust Compensation & Pension program that provides services to a patient population ranging from Veterans to active duty service members.  The incumbent will further demonstrate competency to manage and provide oversight over the clinical and administrative operations of the service line.The incumbent is responsible for the oversight of all clinical services within Compensation & Pension, including Seattle & American Lake Divisions, and VA Regional Offices.  Clinician specialty types requiring collaborative supervision in Compensation & Pension include: General Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Audiology, Optometry, Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuropsychology.The incumbent is responsible for participating in strategic and operations planning, establishing workload targets, reviewing staffing and resource utilization, and development of overall policies governing the provision within the service line.This is a non-bargaining unit position.Work Schedule: Days – Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays
