Duties:
The VA Long Beach Health Care System (VALBHCS), Medicine & Inpatient Healthcare Group, is accepting applications/CVs for full time, Staff Physician to serve in our Pulmonary and Critical Care Department.The Physician will function as a dedicated intensivist. The VALBHCS, Pulmonary and Critical Care are currently comprised of 5 fulltime Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians. The VALBHCS provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care and serves as a referring center for Interventional Pulmonary procedures. The program is expanding to provide 24/7 ICU coverage. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a broad knowledge base in critical care, and must be dedicated to providing high quality evidence based care. Duties also include supervising pulmonary and critical care fellows, internal medicine residents and students in the care of MICU patients. Competitive salary and benefits.
