Broadcom Corporation currently has an opportunity for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer. In this role you will join a team of software architects and work on building the next generation Ethernet switch SDK which will power the world’s data centers and service provider switches.
Your role is to implement the software for the next generation SDK. You will be involved in many of the following duties and responsibilities:
- Closely collaborate with the Architecture leads, to Design and implement, the SDK for next generation Broadcom SDK switches.
- Create SW tools for automatic code generation.
- Design, develop, test and support of Switch drivers as well as APIs to control and configure Ethernet switches
- Responsible for development and implementation of major SDK subsystems.
Requirements:
- Prior experience with the Broadcom Switch SDK or Broadcom XGS switch devices is highly desired
- Familiarity with Ethernet MAC and PHY, physical layer devices/transceivers
- C language programming skills
- Knowledge of layer 2, layer 3 networking protocols, Ethernet Switching
- Excellent work ethic, dependable, and responsible
- Must be a flexible self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly
- Good communication skills, with excellent skills in oral and written English
