**Description**
This **Technical Pipeliner** will be based out of Lewistown, MT and is primarily responsible for the safe operations and maintenance of Company pipeline assets located in and around the geographic area. The position will calibrate and inspect measurement and pressure control equipment, conduct routine pipeline maintenance, eliminate and report product leaks, seeps, and spills, as well as assist with construction, maintenance and mechanical integrity projects on the pipeline. The position will maintain qualifications and record documentation in accordance with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.
**Responsibilities may include: **
+ Performing work on centrifugal pumps, bearing and seal repairs or replacements
+ Performing maintenance, inspection and repair of DOT valves and actuators as necessary
+ Performing work on crude oil tanks and mixers
+ Performing oil analysis, vibration analysis, laser alignments and maintain proper maintenance documentation
+ Performing planned maintenance and submitting appropriate reports in a timely manner
+ Performing routine and emergency maintenance work for pipeline pump stations and terminal equipment
+ Performing proving of meters, tuning of control valves, calibration of instruments, transmitters, samplers and gravimeters
+ Performing PLC programming/trouble shooting, satellite communications and instrumentation
+ Performing crude oil liquid sampling and product quality testing with established test procedures
+ Performing electrical troubleshooting on power supply’s, circuits, connections, VFD, UPS
+ Performing voltage power monitoring, lockouts and disconnects
+ Performing or have oversight of power cable, instrument wiring, conduit installation and replacements
+ Performing quality assurance and acceptance of work for the facilities
+ Assisting as necessary with third-party pipeline encroachments and one call system locates
+ Supervising and directing contract crews
**Qualifications**
**Basic/Required: **
+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Must maintain a valid driver’s license
+ Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Willing and able to climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment are a part of this position. The ladders and stairs range from 5 to 50 feet in height
- Willing and able to raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willing and able to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
- Willing and able to work outside in harsh weather conditions
- Willing to work alone a high percentage of the time
- Willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time
- Willingness to respond to emergency calls as needed
- To work overtime on an as-needed basis
- To work with chemicals and bases
- To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
- To maintain your face so that a respirator / face mask can seal properly. (i.e to be clean shaven (facial hair).
- To perform firefighting duties
- To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
**Preferred: **
+ Associates degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics
+ 3 or more years of experience working Pipelines
+ 3 or more years of experience working with electronics such as, electrical power and components, digital and analog circuitry, and one line drawings and schematics
+ 3 or more years of experience with the following:
- Allen-Bradley PLC’s
- Rosemount Transmitters
- OMNI flow computer
+ 3 or more years of direct experience working on mechanical and rotating equipment
+ 3 or more years of direct operational experience in the petroleum industry
+ Journey Man’s license in related fields of electrical, mechanical or instrumentation
+ Proficient (perform the skill with limited assistance) on MS Office and SAP

**Pipelines and Terminals**
Phillips 66 owns or leases various assets to provide strategic, timely and environmentally safe delivery of crude oil, refined products, natural gas and NGL. These assets include pipeline systems; product, crude oil, marine and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) terminals; a petroleum coke handling facility; and a fleet of railcars.
As of Dec. 31, 2012, Phillips 66 manages approximately 18,000 miles of crude oil, raw NGL, natural gas and petroleum products pipeline systems in the United States, including those partially owned or operated by affiliates.
