About Vidant Medical Center

Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.


Responsibilities


  • Receives incoming Postal mail from US Post Office via Hospital Courier.

  • Sorts all mail in appropriate receptacle for delivery to departments.

  • Sorts patient mail and obtain room location for delivery to correct patient tower.

  • Picks up and delivers mail as needed to Post Office and/or off site location to include subsidiaries.

  • Prepares all special mailings (ie; certified, insured, permit, etc.) for delivery to Post Office via Hospital Courier.

  • Locates discharged patients home address, writes on mail piece, and sends out with outgoing mail.

  • Processes all Hospital first class mail utilizing mail processor, applies appropriate postage and have ready for pick up by US Postal Service at designated time.

  • Prepares all letters/packages/boxes that are specified for Next Day Delivery by utilizing computerized shipping system to be ready for pick up at designated time.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent

  • Licensure, Registration or Certification:

  • NC Drivers License

  • Related Work Experience:

  • None, but some experience preferred

  • Previous mailroom or computer operating skills(Preferred)

  • 1 full time vacancy, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
