Responsibilities:
CAMRIS seeks interested and qualified democracy, human rights and governance technical specialist who are interested and available for short-term assignments in developing countries. The contract will provide technical services specifically designed to enhance the impact of USAID-funded democracy and governance (DG) strategies and programs through field support and program management services in the areas of governance, rule of law, elections and political processes, anti-corruption, conflict mitigation, and civil society. Short-term assignments can be from two weeks to two months to carry out an assignment that require strong analytical skills. At this point, CAMRIS is identifying potential candidates via resume submissions.
Qualifications:
- A PhD or Masters degree in public administration, political science, international relations, economics, anthropology or related fields.
- Academic study in political aspects of at least one developing country and corresponding developing country language proficiency.
- Experience leading or working as a team in developing country assignments.
- Conversant in USAID tools and methodologies, rules and regulations for democracy and governance strategy development, political economy assessments, DRG project designs, monitoring and evaluating DRG programs
- Subsector speciality in rule of law, governance, anticorruption, elections, political party development, etc.
