The Cream Cheese Filler Operator runs the cream cheese filler. They must follow all GMP and safety regulations as well as CDI’s own standards of excellence.
Essential Functions List of significant/essential duties, tasks and/or responsibilities required of this position.
- Set up filling and packaging equipment and supplies.
- Check and verify all codes, labels, packaging and weight control checks.
- Must be able to train all personnel in all facets of cream cheese filling.
- Must be able to verify the correct product is being packaged within specifications.
- Must be able to stack product and pallets in the cold box which can be as cold as 34 degrees. Protective clothing will be supplied by the company.
- Must be able to read a computer printout and follow a designated schedule.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
- Responsible for training new hires and temporary employees.
- Report immediately to foreperson or supervisor any damage, irregular activity or unsafe conditions concerning equipment or product.
- Follow all safety and working rules, and work in a sanitary manner.
- Follow all company Policies, such as but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and Safety Rules and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
- Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conductive work environment.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work.

Education and/or Experience
High school level verbal and written communication skills; Basic computation skills; or four years experience in a leadership ole; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Has a current forklift operator’s license or the ability to acquire and maintain required certification.
- Has demonstrated the ability to run equipment efficiently.
- Must have the ability to read and understand written and/or verbal instructions.
Language Skills
A well-modulated tonal volume is required with excellent diction skills needed.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess or be able to acquire and maintain a forklift operator license.

- Sitting/Standing/Walking Each workday, the filler operator will do all three. Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8-12 hours.
- Lifting/Carrying: Each workday, the filler operator lifts up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Occasional lifting/carrying above 50 pounds may be required as well.
- pushing/Pulling: Each workday, the blending operator frequently pushes and pulls up to, but not limited to, 50 pounds in a repetitive manner.
- Bending/Stooping: Each workday, the filler operator will bend and stoop often.
- Squatting/Kneeling/Crawling: Each workday, the filler operator will sometimes squat. Occasional kneeling/crawling may be required.
- wisting/Turning: Each workday, the filler operator will often twist and turn while carrying
- Climbing/Balancing: Each workday, the filler operator will occasionally climb and/or balance.
- Reaching: Each workday, the filler operator will frequently reach in a repetitive manner.
- Grasping/Manipulating: Each workday, the filler operator will frequently grasp and manipulate in a repetitive manner.

Proper lifting techniques must be employed at all times. At times chemicals such as chlorine, acid, and caustic may be used for cleaning purposes and may emit fumes into air.
