United States of America: High-Impact Roles in the US Health Equity Movement - Global Health Corps U.S.

Global Health Corps (GHC) is a leadership development organization focused on building the next generation of diverse, disruptive global health leaders. Founded in 2009, we competitively recruit talented professionals (ages 21-30) from a range of sectors and backgrounds and place them in high-impact roles within partner organizations — including Clinton Health Access Initiative, Partners in Health, Planned Parenthood Global, and Government Ministries in Zambia, Rwanda, and Uganda — working on the front lines of health equity in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the US, and Zambia. More on the growing movement for health equity here.

GHC is seeking fellows from a wide range of backgrounds, geographies, and expertise. Through a one-year paid fellowship program, fellows provide the expertise and leadership potential needed to fill capacity gaps in global health. Applications are open until February 2, 2016. Jobs for the 2016-2017 fellowship year run from June 2016 to July 2017.

The United States is one of the wealthiest and most powerful countries in the world, and yet health inequity persists in every city and state countrywide. Despite roadblocks, the Affordable Care Act has expanded healthcare access to millions of Americans in need. Yet there is a long way to go. Global Health Corps has proudly worked in the United States (the only developed country in which we work) since 2009, partnering with local community-based advocates and service providers working to ensure health is a human right for all Americans.

It’s a critical time to be part of the health equity movement in the United States and Global Health Corps (GHC) seeking diverse young leaders and visionaries to step up. We are currently recruiting for our 2016-2017 class of fellows with a range of high impact roles in the US, including:
