The GPS – Orangeburg is seeking a Medical Supply Clerk in the Orangeburg, SC Area.
Job Summary
- Assure that all supplies, drugs, equipment, and mail are received properly and in accordance with company policies
Essential Functions:
- Order Entry
- Run Patient Charge Labels and sticker products
- Provide Patient Charge Card data input
- Issue supplies to all departments on designated days per the order sheets
- Take telephone orders and make deliveries to all departments
- Collect/distribute all mail for the company
- Provide courier service on an as-needed basis for all company facilities and departments
- Performs other miscellaneous and related duties s assigned on requested
Physical Requirements:
In order to perform the essentials functions of this position, you must be able to:
- Sit, walk, stand, use your hands, reach, talk, and hear
- Must be able to lift, push or pull or exert energy up to 50 lbs 75% of the time
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
Mental Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to read and interpret business or safety manuals, clinical or technical procedures or regulations
- Must have the ability to write reports, correspondence or manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, patients, families, and other employees and medical staff
Work Environment:
- Primarily a storeroom environment with regular departmental visits throughout all company facilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of all receiving personnel and mail clerks
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- Some knowledge of medical supplies preferred
- Must have valid SC Driver’s License
- No prior work experience required
