Position Summary:
The Scheduling Analyst will manage and complete scheduling project timelines and support the program with any necessary documentation. The SA must be able to prepare scheduling analysis reports within project plan deliverable timelines. When necessary the SA will assist clients with such engagements as project schedule review, gaps analysis, or advisement on planning strategies if needed. The SA should be prepared to draw on their experience in technical, policy, risk management, or application management to provide value to clients. Successful candidates must possess a strong project management background in addition to being mature, confident professionals with strong communication and time management skills. Candidates must be able to demonstrate positive relationships within prior work experience and have unquestionable ethics.
Required Skills:
- Analyze Integrated Master Schedules and maintaining program schedules using MS Project
- Perform schedule risk assessments
- Evaluation of schedule progress against the plan
- Evaluation of the written reports and critical path analysis
- Schedule estimating
- Substantiation of confidence level generation
- Schedule/prediction analysis
Technical Requirements:
- Demonstrated success as a Scheduling Analyst, showing a track record of delivering clearly defined, maintainable schedules for large, complex projects/programs
- Sound business and technical awareness
- Superior knowledge and understanding Microsoft Project will be assessed daily
- Understanding of MS Project or other scheduling tools strongly desired.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization
- Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment
- Creative and innovative, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in his/her work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities or when encountering new/unique situations. Able to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives
- Make reasonable judgments quickly, and adjusts thinking to assimilate new information or ideas
- Possesses highly effective analytical thinking ability to gather, understand, integrate, and synthesize complex information in order to document solutions, make recommendations, or propose action plans
- Possesses a strong customer service ethic consistently exceeding business customer expectations
- Ability to understand and communicate interactions among complex computer systems in business terms and express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, to diverse groups of people
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for education requirements.
