Job Background/Summary:
The Program Analyst position will sit within the Institutional Donor Engagement and Advancement department (IDEA). The IDEA Department includes cross-disciplinary teams of business development, award management, and relationship management specialists organized around high-priority public and foundation donors and corporate partners. The department leads CRS’ strategic engagement with priority public donors and provides specialized services to help CRS acquire, manage, and steward resources and relationships. The Program Analyst will support the IDEA team focused on non US Government (USG) public donors (e.g. Global Fund, UN Agencies, the EU, DFID, and other bi-lateral and multilateral donor agencies). The working environment will be flexible, dynamic, and frequently deadline driven, and the Program Analyst position will offer a window into many aspects of the organization and its work.


An ideal candidate will be extremely efficient, organized, curious about new information, and resourceful. This person should take initiative to standardize approaches, organize team responses, research, analyze and disseminate information. This position requires research, data analysis, budgeting, planning and time-management skills, as well as a willingness and interest in learning about various donors, their requirements, and related CRS programming. Flexibility, creativity, and troubleshooting capabilities are also critical.


Key Responsibilities:


The Program Analyst will support the IDEA Non USG Donor Engagement team in the following activities:


  • Support donor and trend research. Assist with analysis of donor, sector, or country specific themes affecting business development and award/donor management.

  • Develop and run reports, analyze and verify information. Track and provide metrics.

  • Provide support to proposals, donor reports, and other deliverables. Proofread and provide final review on documents.

  • Prepare presentations to internal and external audiences including proofreading reports and developing graphics.

  • Support team responses to internal stakeholders like Global Finance and the executive leadership team.

  • Analyze, prepare and submit donor proposals, reports and award documents via donor management information systems and email. Assist with data entry and file management, and contribute to data quality control.

  • Represent CRS externally and manage relationships with select non USG public donors

  • Support the development of knowledge/information sharing platforms in existing CRS information systems. Promote knowledge sharing and continual learning.

  • Contribute to the development of systems, tools, and resources that facilitate improved pursuit of funding opportunities and award administration.

  • Other duties as requested.

Key Working Relationships:
Internal:
Non USG Team Director and Donor Engagement Officers, Global Fund Support Unit, other IDEA staff, Global Finance, Operational Excellence (OpEx), Program Impact and Quality Assurance (PIQA), and other relevant departments, key field staff.**
External:** Non US Government public donors and representatives of other PVOs.


Qualifications:
1.) Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s degree a plus.
2.) 1-2 years working in an international development context.
3.) Working fluency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, One Drive) required, experience with SharePoint or similar communication platforms helpful.
4.) Knowledge of Salesforce or client management platforms desired.
5.) Experience with and commitment to working in a team structure.
6.) Demonstrated ability to work independently, think critically, and analyze/resolve problems proactively is essential.


7.) Ability to work under pressure.
8.) Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and analytical skills.
9.) Fluency in English required. Working ability in French/Spanish is highly desirable.
