Central Scheduling Representative job - Tanner Clinic - Layton, UT
Description: Central Scheduling Representative for multi-specialty clinic in Layton, Utah. Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 6:00PM schedule varies.
Duties: Maintain strict patient, computer, and company confidentiality.
Answer and direct all incoming calls quickly, accurately and professionally.
Convey all necessary information pertinent to the appointment, i.e. insurance information, office location, date appointment was made, instructions to bring reports or x-rays’ and any other description that may pertain to the appointment.
Be informed of the daily operations and schedules of each physician and their preferences.
Confirm to each caller their appointment date, time, provider and location. As well as what information they are required to have upon time of check-in for their appointment.
Ensure proper handling of patient account alerts that may affect the patient’s visit to the clinic.
Professional interaction with physicians and all employees.
Prompt and professional handling of rescheduling needs for patients, providers and physicians when necessary.
Qualifications: Possess strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate compassion, courtesy and respect to all patients and their families.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful and/or emergency situations.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and other computer programs.
