NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard. The purpose of this position is to serve as the final reviewer and procedural authority of personnel actions submitted to the MILPO by lower echelons. Work is to be performed in one or more of the following work areas: Officer or Enlisted Personnel Management (OPM, EPM); Retirement Points Accounting Management (RPAM); Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP); Montgomery G.I. Bill; MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB); Line of Duty (LOD) investigations; and Funeral Honors/Casualty Assistance.
Specific job duties: This position is located at Det 1, HHC/2-127 IN BN in Clintonville, WI. The purpose of this position is to serve as the detachment supply NCO. Work is performed in the following areas: Personnel and unit equipment servicing and accountability,
preparation for inspections, inventory of equipment, PBUS ordering, CCDF,
physical security, and any additional duties assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Back to top
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-07(D1106000) level, applicants must have at least 12 months experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions. Experience performing personnel transactions. Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military skill set is determined by MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations, guides and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the MOS.

At a minimum,
applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable background
investigation for suitability purposes for employment in the federal
government. Not being able to maintain a
favorable background investigation may result in administrative action,
including termination from employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Incumbent must maintain membership in the Wisconsin National Guard.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
The wearing of the military uniform and abiding by the customs and courtesies as prescribed by applicable military service regulations are conditions of employment.
Employees will be required to participate in direct deposit/electronic fund transfer (DD/EFT).
