To direct and co-ordinate the activities of a small team of Technicians within the Medical Repairs Workshop. To meet customer expectations for repair of products returned to the Workshop ensuring that all repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
Work towards improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the department by developing current processes and procedures to meet department goals.
Ensure the compliance of all personnel to the organisations administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
*All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties
*Responsible for the delivery of high quality repairs & maintenance on customers equipment returned to the workshop for investigation and repair.
*Performs warranty repairs.
*Carries out pre-installation commissioning.
*Executes technical corrective actions.
*Implements policies and procedures of the Service business in line with internal and external Quality Standards.
*Address personnel and process issues as they occur.
*Facilitate and organise continuous improvement initiatives/programmes within the department.
*Monitor and direct activities towards improvements in
Stock inventory levels.
Turnaround time for repairs.
*Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained within the area.
*Ensure Health and Safety regulations are implemented and adhered to.
*Ensure timely repair of demo stock at off site facility
*Preparation of Monthly reports for repairs turnaround time
*Attend suitable training course as directed
Position Requirements-
HNC, degree or equivalent in engineering related subjects.
At least 5 years working within electronic repairs/service preferably in a Medical environment
Supervisory / management experience
