Description
The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) is located in the Southwestern Alaska town of Bethel, with a total of approximately 6,0 people. YKHC supports 1500 employees, providing the health services to a primarily Yup’ik Eskimo Native population for an area the size of Oregon. Services are provided through a Bethel located hospital and 50 clinics throughout the YK Delta.
Position Summary:
Manages the functions and activities of the corporate Network and Telecommunications Infrastructure to provide 24-hour coverage of YKHC vital business computer systems and oversight of network/telecommunications staff.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in computer science with course emphasis on communications and networks required.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years experience in health care or corporate network management required. Two (2) years in cross-cultural environment required.
License, Certification, Registration: Cisco and Windows Certification preferred.
Specialize Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and experience with Windows 20, Windows NT and Windows Network environment. Ability to plan, develop, organize, direct and evaluate the functions of computer applications/systems. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with management, supervisory staff, and employees. Ability to work as a team member.
