A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen with our client in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The nursery is situated in a school site and is being newly refurbished and due to open in summer 2015.
The nursery are looking for an enthusiastic Manager to develop the nursery in the early stages and continue to support and encourage the growth and success.
The successful candidate will be passionate about working in childcare, leading and supporting a team, and be responsible for the overall day to day running of the Nursery.
Duties & responsibilities will be:
• To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
• To ensure that all the requirements for OFSTED and other regulatory bodies are met
• To recruit, select and manage nursery staff.
• To manage budget and occupancy of the nursery
• To work with our marketing team to effectively encourage prospective parents
• To work in partnership with parents and provide good customer service
• To work alongside the school’s senior management
Qualifications:
• Graduate or equivalent
• At least one of the following
o Level 4 qualification in Early Years:
o Level 5 Diploma – Leadership for the children and young people’s workforce
o Early Years Professional Status
o Early Years Teacher Status.
o NNEB
Experience & Skills:
• Experience of management in a successful nursery
• Energetic and ambitious
• Passionate about the care of young children
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Experience in managing budgets
• Excellent knowledge of applicable Health & Safety legislation
• Flexible and adaptable approach to the job
Salary: up to £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
