Tom Hopkins, M.D., a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, specializing in Bariatric Medicine, is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join his established practice in Midtown Sacramento, CA. The practice offers a multidisciplinary weight management programs integrating the expertise of registered dieticians, exercise physiologists and psychological counselors. They specialize in medical evaluations for gastric bypass surgery. Candidate will also co-manage acute, chronic and preventative care for a complex panel of IM and Bariatric patients, in a team-management approach. Duties many include, but not limited to, seeing new and follow-up patients for basic acute and chronic care, history and physicals, female wellness exams and prescription refills. Applicant should be comfortable with performing minor dermatologic procedures. Candidate will need to utilize Electronic Medical Records. Practice prefers 1-2 years experience in primary care. However, all candidates will be considered with the appropriate training, background, and interpersonal skills. Applicant must be Nationally Certified and eligible for a California and DEA License.
