Summary of Position


IREX seeks an entry-level Program Associate for its Education Programs Division to provide support for its education programs for young African professionals.


Summary of Responsibilities:


· Provide administrative and logistical support to education programs;


· Track a wide range of information and data, maintaining accuracy and completeness;


· Coordinate and track vendor payments and sub-grants review, awards, payment, and reporting processes;


· Process and maintain financial records;


· Produce and revise program materials and reports;


· Assist in managing relationships with partner institutions, including corporate, non-profit, government partners, and vendors; and


· Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:


· Experience with and interest in international exchange and professional training/development programs;


· Experience with and interest in conference logistics and event planning preferred;


· Knowledge of project finance and budgeting practices;


· Excellent cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills;


· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;


· Demonstrated computer skills, including Excel and Web 2.0 tools;


· International study, work, or living experience preferred; and


· Knowledge of a foreign language preferred, particularly French, Portuguese, Swahili, and/or African regional languages.
