Temporary Endurance Driver job - Chrysler Group LLC - Chelsea, MI
At 3,800-acres, FCA Group’s Chelsea Proving Grounds (CPG) is one of the largest and most modern automotive test sites in the world and provides over 100 lane miles of on and off road test surfaces. The rigorous testing performed on these specially designed roads leads to the identification of issues of safety, performance and endurance, post and pre vehicle launch. At any time, day or night, a current or future vehicle is being put through its paces at the facility. Due to the uncertainty of our testing needs, the demand for endurance drivers fluctuates between extreme high needs to a base-line need. In preparation for future needs relating to pre-production vehicles, the Quality Organization is seeking candidates interested in temporary endurance driver positions. These roles are ideal positions for people who are looking to augment their income on a short or long term basis. Testing is performed year round, 24 hours a day. Many of our temporary endurance drivers have had past experience with testing FCA vehicles. If you enjoy driving and have a desire to “test the limits” of a vehicle, this may be a position for you. The Temp Driver is required to be proficient in driving BOTH automatic and manual (stick) transmissions.
Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
