Job Title- Commercial and Household Account Handler
Location – Rickmansworth
Salary – £25,000 per annum,
An exciting new opportunity for an individual looking to further their career within the insurance market has arisen to join our well established and successful insurance brokers. The opportunity has arisen as a consequence of our recent successes and the ambition of the company to further expand.
The role
- You will build up and service accounts to a very high standard for new commercial accounts and high net-worth customers along with Commercial Property Owners
- You will be responsible for maintaining and renewing our existing book of business
- Proven ability to prepare presentations and negotiate to insurers in order to secure the most appropriate cover for our clients
- Experience in Property Owner claims handling
- To ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism at all times when dealing with both client and insurer
- Ability to secure cross-selling and business referrals
- Handle complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
Skills required
- Minimum of two years’ experience and strong understanding of general commercial and household insurance within a broking environment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence as all levels
- Sound technical knowledge of the insurance market and available products
- Good technical and administrative knowledge of claims handling
- Someone who thrives on personal accountability and ownership
- Experience of Acturis system desired but not essential
- Innovative and able to think of new ideas to improve process or business, put suggestions forward and try them out
- Thrives on delivering excellent customer service at all times
- Qualified or working towards CII qualifications
